SAGA Barcelona Game Fest names Mega Man and Suikoden composers as 2026 speakers
SAGA Barcelona Game Fest has confirmed three international speakers for its 2026 event, led by Japanese composers Manami Matsumae and Miki Higashino. The festival will take place at Fira Barcelona Montjuic from October 9 to 11.
Matsumae composed music for the original Mega Man and worked on other Capcom titles before contributing to games such as Shovel Knight. Higashino is known for the Suikoden series and music created during her years at Konami.
The third confirmed guest is game designer and researcher Geraud Zucchini, also known as Doc Geraud. His previous work includes Assassin’s Creed, Mario + Rabbids and Starlink at Ubisoft, followed by independent game design.
Japan will be the guest country for the first edition held under the SAGA Barcelona Game Fest name. The event plans to occupy 14,000 square meters and provide 500 game stations for visitors.
The festival also presented a new visual identity created by Conrad Roset, creative director at Nomada Studio, the team behind GRIS and Neva. The artwork combines references to games from different periods and genres.
