Sabrina Carpenter’s Family Dogs: Egos Skyrocket Since Becoming Cover Stars

Sabrina Carpenter’s beloved dogs, Goodwin and Louie, have traded fetch for fame as the latest cover stars of Dogue, proving that no matter how famous you become, a dog’s loyalty remains unmatched.

On Monday, August 18, Carpenter and Vogue unveiled that her two canine companions will headline the magazine’s dog-centric series. Sharing the news on her Instagram Story, she quipped, “My dogs’ first Dogue cover.”

The cover image captures Goodwin and Louie perched in a miniature white Mercedes-Benz, sporting custom kerchiefs handpicked by Carpenter’s mother. “They can’t stroll without being recognized… their egos have officially grown,” Carpenter joked. “Wish me luck!”

This edition of Dogue also features other high-profile pups: BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s terrier Hank, Maluma’s Dobermans Buda and Karma, and the Siberian huskies Bonnie and Clyde.

In her Vogue interview, Carpenter reflected on her long-standing bond with Goodwin, now 14, who was named after her early TV role in The Goodwin Games and has been by her side since her 2014 debut on Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World. Louie, at one year old, has earned the affectionate moniker “Lucifer” whenever he’s mischievous—though she usually calls him “LouLou.”

“It may sound cliché, but their greatest gift is how truly loving they are,” she shared. “Goodwin senses when I’m under the weather—his eyes hold so much empathy. Louie’s ears are like radar; he’s an incredible listener.”

This canine collaboration perfectly complements Carpenter’s upcoming album, Man’s Best Friend, arriving August 28. The album cover sees Carpenter on all fours, her hair held by a companion’s hand—an homage to her dog-inspired theme.

To reveal the tracklist, Carpenter invited fans to pose with puppies and director’s chairs embroidered with each song title, blending her music release with her passion for pups.
