Sabrina Carpenter Hosts ‘Playdate’ for 26 Fans to Preview ‘Man’s Best Friend’ Early

On Wednesday, August 13, pop powerhouse Sabrina Carpenter surprised 26 devoted fans with an intimate, invitation-only listening session for her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend at a secret Los Angeles studio.

Sharing highlights on Instagram the next day, Carpenter enthused, “Last night marked the very first playdate for Man’s Best Friend!”

She continued, “I gathered 26 of my cherished LA supporters, transported them by bus to the studio, and asked them to surrender their phones so they could be fully present. Their respect, excitement and energy made it one of my most unforgettable nights in ages.”

Accompanying her announcement, Carpenter posted photos of the evening: a jubilant group shot and candid moments of fans dancing along to the unheard tracks. “Playing this record from start to finish has been more thrilling than anything I’ve done before,” she reflected.

Slated for release on August 29, Man’s Best Friend will follow last year’s Billboard 200-topping Short n’ Sweet. The seventh studio album features 12 tracks, including the No. 1 Hot 100 hit “Manchild.”

Carpenter’s creative momentum continues beyond her own release: on August 13, Taylor Swift revealed that Carpenter will guest-vocal on the title track of Swift’s forthcoming album The Life of a Showgirl. Reacting on her Instagram Stories, Carpenter admitted, “My inner fan is absolutely freaking out!”
