Sabrina Carpenter Amazed as “Man’s Best Friend” Breaks Spotify Record

Sabrina Carpenter’s eagerly awaited album Man’s Best Friend has officially shattered Spotify’s single-day streaming mark for a female artist in 2025.

On September 2, the streaming giant confirmed that Carpenter’s 12-track collection amassed the highest one-day stream total this year for a woman in pop. Sharing the news via Instagram Stories, she marvelled, “This is unreal.”

“I’m beyond grateful to every single listener,” she added.

On X, Carpenter reposted the announcement with the message, “I can’t believe this … thank you so much for listening.”

Released on August 29 as her seventh studio effort, Man’s Best Friend was first unveiled in June. Its lead single, “Manchild,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — Carpenter’s second chart-topping hit.

Coming off 2024’s breakout smash Short n’ Sweet— which featured Spotify’s most-streamed song “Espresso” and Hot 100 leader “Please Please Please” — Carpenter headed into the studio with Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen free of external pressures.

In a recent conversation with Interview, she reflected, “It felt no different than creating my last album. No deadlines, no mandates — just writing whenever inspiration struck.”
