Ryan Murphy has finished the script for the “Glee” reboot

Ryan Murphy has officially wrapped up the script for a reboot of the iconic musical series Glee, more than a decade after the original show concluded. The creator confirmed that he collaborated on the new project with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, his partners in developing the original series.

The showrunner has already reached out to approximately ten original cast members to gauge their interest in returning. According to Murphy, the actors greeted the news with genuine enthusiasm and raised several insightful questions, though none have had the opportunity to review the completed script as of yet.

It remains unclear whether this new iteration will serve as a direct continuation of the McKinley High glee club’s story or function as a complete reimagining of the franchise. Murphy has yet to disclose which platform or network will host the project, nor has he provided a timeline for when production might commence.

The original Glee aired on Fox for six seasons between 2009 and 2015.
