The real-time strategy game Syrian Warfare has been available on Steam for years. When the Valve summer sale began in late June, users noticed the main game disappeared from the store. The downloadable content remained available for purchase.

Cats Who Play studio stated that Valve halted sales following reports claiming the game contained viruses.

The developers contacted Valve to address the issue and soon confirmed a resolution.

Syrian Warfare maintains very positive reviews from the community. Players can also purchase the Return to Palmyra campaign expansion.
