Ubisoft is preparing to re-reveal Beyond Good & Evil 2 under a new title, according to reports from insider Attack The Backlog.

An official showcase could take place at a gaming event before the end of the year. The announcement will most likely happen during The Game Awards 2026.

The informant also states that the game uses a highly scalable engine, which will allow Ubisoft to release the project simultaneously across multiple platforms. A version for the Nintendo Switch 2 is expected, and this should happen without major performance compromises.

The last official statement regarding the game came in early 2026, when project creative director Fawzi Mesmar confirmed that development on Beyond Good & Evil 2 is ongoing and the team "remains focused on creating an outstanding game." This statement followed a massive Ubisoft restructuring during which several projects were canceled, though the company stated that Beyond Good & Evil 2 was not cut.
