so here’s CircoLoco Records, a house whose name should raise eyebrows for fans of clubbing and electronic music: indeed, Circoloco parties have existed since the 90s in Ibiza and, since, their organizers have developed sufficiently to export them to the four corners of the globe. A real institution in the party scene which has therefore partnered with Rockstar to found a label, therefore, in the logical name of CircoLoco Records.
And who says label necessarily means releases of tracks and other swaggering sound projects: Rockstar therefore announces that a series of EP’s will soon see the light of day, the first being expected on June 4 with, as expected artists, Sama ‘Abdulhadi, Kerri Chandler, Rampa and Seth Troxler. House Music fans should be familiar with them since they are particularly well-known names – Kerri Chandler is a true living legend in the business, for example.
LocoRoco Records will also give the “voice” to younger artists, like the American TOKiMONSTA, as well as to other big names already well anchored in the landscape like Moodyman, Luciano, or Dixon. Four other EP’s will be released each week, with a common goal: a first compilation, released as an album, on July 9th.
Beyond Rockstar Games’ obvious love for music, the company also admits to wanting to help the clubbing community, in great difficulty since the start of the pandemic. This label will therefore be a first lever for the survival of LocoRoco, whose evenings were obviously stifled for more than a year. Rockstar, an organization that never ceases to amaze.
