Rockstar is working on a 60 FPS mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X, says insider
Insider Borys Niespielak reports that GTA VI will feature two graphics modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Rockstar has not decided if the 60 FPS option will be ready for the launch.
Speaking on the Rock i Borys show, Niespielak stated that the game will offer performance and quality settings on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. The performance mode should reach 60 FPS.
The Xbox Series S presents a different challenge. Owners of this console might only receive a 30 FPS mode. Developers have consistently identified the Series S as the most difficult hardware to optimize for this generation.
Niespielak suggested that Rockstar could launch with a single 30 FPS mode and add the performance option later through a patch. The studio remains uncertain whether they can achieve 60 FPS by the initial release date.
Borys Niespielak previously broke the news about the The Witcher 3 expansion in December 2025.
