“Robin Hood” to get a second season

Streaming giant MGM+ has officially renewed its “Robin Hood” reimagining for a second season, following the show’s successful debut this past November.

The series features a talented ensemble including Jack Patten, Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), and Lauren McQueen. The narrative follows the alliance between Rob, the son of a Saxon woodman, and Marian (McQueen), a noblewoman of Norman descent, as they unite to lead a rebellion against systemic corruption.

Co-created by Jonathan English (Ironclad) and John Glenn (SEAL Team), the initial ten-episode run has proven to be a significant hit for the platform. According to MGM+ executives, “Robin Hood” has emerged as one of the service’s top-performing original productions to date.
