Robert Pattinson does not believe Batman will appear in the new DC Universe

Robert Pattinson has expressed skepticism regarding the possibility of his iteration of Bruce Wayne appearing within the revamped DC Universe currently overseen by James Gunn. In an interview with LADbible, the actor remarked that the Batman envisioned by director Matt Reeves is deeply rooted in the distinct atmosphere and self-contained narrative of his specific cinematic world.

“I think it would be quite a stretch to integrate this version of Bruce outside of that setting,”

— Pattinson noted. While the actor stopped short of definitively ruling out a crossover, he clarified why such an integration presents a significant creative challenge.

According to Pattinson, the issue extends beyond the stylistic nuances of Reeves’ films. The immersive nature of portraying Batman requires such a singular focus that the gravity of the role lingers long after production has wrapped.

Currently, Pattinson’s Caped Crusader and the burgeoning DCU are functioning as separate entities. The Reeves-helmed narrative remains independent of the primary DC continuity, while James Gunn and Peter Safran are actively developing a separate iteration of the Dark Knight for the future of their franchise.
