Just over two months have passed since RM concluded his mandatory military service, and he’s already plunged headfirst into preparing BTS’s long-awaited 2026 reunion.

In a candid message on Weverse dated August 22, 2025, he shared, “It’s hard to believe how quickly eight weeks have gone by since I was discharged.”

“I’m now in sunny Los Angeles, living, working and relaxing alongside my fellow members,” he wrote, marveling at the contrast between recent barracks life and palm-tree-lined streets. “It feels like trading Pyeongchang’s chill for endless summer.”

Despite the culture shock, RM revealed he’s already “fully immersed” in crafting the group’s next album and planning a global tour set for next spring. “Collaborating with these friends,” he added, “I’m pouring every ounce of creativity into this moment.”

He continued, “This project will help me rediscover facets of myself I’ve missed for far too long.”

RM closed with a heartfelt promise to ARMY: “I miss you all terribly. I promise to be with you soon. Until then, I’ll give it my all. Love you.”

Earlier this week, j-hope offered fans a peek at the septet’s off-duty moments—from studio sessions to beach strolls—underscoring their tight bond beyond the spotlight.

These intimate glimpses pave the way for BTS’s 2026 comeback. After Suga’s June discharge, all seven members appeared on a Weverse livestream to unveil plans for a spring album release followed by a world tour.

“Our next album will launch next spring, reflecting each member’s distinct voice,” they announced. “We’re approaching it with the same passion that launched BTS.”

“A global tour will follow, bringing our music directly to you. We hope you’re ready,” they concluded.
