He gets by with the help of his friends. And today, on his 81st birthday, Ringo Starr’s friends are out in force.
Born Richard Starkey in Liverpool, The Beatles great is arguably the most famous drummer on the planet. He’s still beating the skins. Last December, Starr released the celebrity-stacked song “Here’s to the Nights,” and he was behind a special live-stream “All-Starr” concert on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
Earlier this year, the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live hosted the digital exhibit “Ringo: Peace & Love” on March 4, conversation with Starr, and an archived public program.
Friends and fans turned to social media to wish Ringo peace and love and a very happy birthday.
