Rihanna chatted about two of her biggest muses — fashion and music — at Monday night’s (Dec. 18) Fenty x Puma event.
The event took place at NeueHouse in Los Angeles, celebrating the launch of Ri’s newest collaborative shoe design with the shoe brand. The mogul has long been a trendsetter with her boundary-pushing style, and on the red carpet Monday, she revealed what her biggest fashion no-no is.
“My biggest fashion ick?” she told HypeBeast. “There’s no one thing. I feel like when you see something that’s inauthentic for someone, it’s blatant, it’s blaring — I hate that. It’s forced.”
“That turns me off,” she added.
And of course, a media event with Rihanna wouldn’t be complete without the “Umbrella” singer dodging questions about new music. When asked by another interviewer about whether she plans to release a long-awaited followup to her 2016 album ANTI next year, she simply said, “I can’t tell you everything, girl” before hinting with a smirk, “It’s giving crystal ball.”
The comment comes almost two months after rumors emerged that Ri has plans to drop new music in 2024. A few outlets reported in October that the star had signed a deal with Live Nation for a world tour coinciding with new music; however, Billboard was told shortly afterward that the reports were “bogus” and found that Live Nation had not placed any holds on venues for a potential trek.
“No tour has been confirmed for Rihanna,” a high-level source added at the time.
