Resident Evil Village: already 3 million for Capcom's game, it's better than Resident Evil 7

Sure, Resident Evil Village is one of the really big headlines this year. We learned yesterday of its excellent start in the United Kingdom and, today, Capcom adds a layer by releasing a new official figure: the title has already been distributed over three million times. This includes digital sales but also the number of physical copies sent to the various distributors.

A very good start that allows Village to do better than Resident Evil 7 (2.5 million at the time for the same period), a game that has nothing to be ashamed of since it is sold today over 8.5 million copies. A tie with the sensational Resident Evil 2 remake, also ruling at 3 million games distributed / sold at its launch in 2019.

On the other hand, it is clear that this is not the best propulsion either in the saga: Resident Evil 5, at the time, was strong with 4 million editions left in the first days, behind the average Resident Evil 6 and its 4.5 million. Whatever, Village still has a bright future ahead of it and that, Capcom knows well. A great year for the Osaka firm, which released Monster Hunter Rise only two months ago!
