Reports Indicate Naughty Dog is Developing New Uncharted Game Led by The Lost Legacy Director

Nathan Drake’s new adventure is scheduled to launch after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

Naughty Dog is working on a new installment in the Uncharted series, according to MP1st, citing sources familiar with the situation. According to these sources, it is a standalone new game rather than a remake, and Nathan Drake will appear in it. However, the publication does not yet know whether he will be the main protagonist or take on a secondary role.

Development is led by Shaun Escayg, the game director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which featured Chloe Frazer as its protagonist. Following that project, he worked as the creative director for Marvel’s Avengers at Crystal Dynamics before returning to Naughty Dog.

According to MP1st, the new Uncharted will be released after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The studio’s subsequent project after that may be The Last of Us Part III.
