The ESRB has assigned an age rating to Rockstar’s western.
The original Red Dead Redemption has been rated by the ESRB for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. There’s been no official announcement for these versions yet, but an entry in the ESRB database seldom appears without reason — it’s likely Rockstar will confirm the news soon.
Red Dead Redemption first launched in 2010 on Xbox 360 and PS3. It later arrived on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in August 2023, with a PC release following in 2024. Despite a relatively steep price, that edition sat somewhere between a straight port and a full remaster.
