Two days before the release of Psychonauts 2 on PC, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PS4, the specialized press is finally authorized to publish its verdict on the latest addition from Double Fine Productions studios. Born necessarily from the fertile mind of Tim Schafer, this game in development since 2015 will have taken its time to come out, with cumulative delays over the past two years undoubtedly due to events linked to the coronavirus. But the wait was by no means in vain, since in the opinion of specialists, Psychonauts 2 is a great success and a continuation in the tradition of the first opus. He is said to be wacky, intelligent and above all different from what is usually done in the genre. It is this difference that allows it to stand out, but also to fill a few gaps such as this maneuverability that some qualify as “dry”, while for the platform side, there is no dazzling, we even stay in the classic. But the title of Double Fine Productions has other qualities that we invite you to discover once the controller in hand.
