PS5: Sony puts the London Underground in the colors of PlayStation

While the PS5 will land tomorrow in Europe, Sony UK has set up a particularly inventive communication operation, by putting several stations of the London Underground in the colors of PlayStation. The first station taken by storm is Oxford Circus, where, taking inspiration from the traditional metro logo (the famous red circle marked “Underground”), Sony has added new signs in the form of the other PlayStation symbols, namely square, cross and triangle. The strongest thing in this story is that the exit from Oxford Circus leads directly to one of the Microsoft Stores in the British capital. Troll, when you hold us. Other stations were given a new name, and a new interior decoration. Mile End has thus become Miles End (in homage to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales), Lancaster Gate is now called Ratchet & Clankaster Gate, Seven Sisters has become Gran Turismo 7 Sisters, while West Ham is transformed into Horizon Forbidden West Ham.

The changes to Oxford Circus will disappear when the console is released, but the other stations will keep their names until December 16. If the initiative is particularly inventive, one wonders if it is really relevant, in the sense that the English capital is also in confinement, which implies a drastically reduced traffic in the corridors of the underground.
