Prophets of Rage’s “The Ballot or the Bullet” Video Features 3 New Songs: Watch

Prophets of Rage—the supergroup consisting of Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk, Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord, and Cypress Hill’s B-Real—have dropped a brand new video known as “The Ballot or the Bullet.” Named after Malcolm X’s well-known 1964 speech about black voter rights, the clip encompasses a mashup of three unreleased tracks and their latest tune “Heart Afire.” The video contains Malcolm X’s speech, NRA protests, images from the civil rights motion, and extra. “There are people trying to keep many of us from being able to vote,” the group mentioned in an announcement. “Don’t squander the rights we’ve fought so hard to get. Agitate, Organize, resist & rebel before, during and after Election Day. In the words of Malcolm X, ‘it’s got to be the ballot or the bullet’.”

This summer season, Prophets of Rage shared the tune “Heart Afire,” their first new songs since final yr’s self-titled debut LP. They’re at the moment engaged on their subsequent album.
