The Prince Estate has requested President Donald Trump to cease taking part in Prince’s music at his rallies. “The Prince Estate has never given permission to President Trump or The White House to use Prince’s songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately,” the Estate stated in a press release. According to the Star Tribune, the message arrives in response to Trump’s use of “Purple Rain” at a Mississippi rally earlier this month.

Numerous artists have requested Donald Trump to not play their music at his rallies. Neil Young famously denounced Trump’s use of “Rockin’ in the Free World,” approach again in 2015. More lately, Steven Tyler sent the president a cease and desist letter, asking him to cease utilizing Aerosmith’s music at rallies.
