Grace intends to write, but the isolation of the new home, the birth of their baby and a changing marriage push her into an increasingly unstable state. Ramsay combines domestic drama, dark humor and psychological intensity. Grace’s behavior can be frightening and unpredictable, but the story also examines the loss of identity, loneliness and desire that surround early motherhood.
