Post Malone Rips Around the Racetrack in ‘Motley Crew’ Video Preview

Post Malone rips around a race track in the high-speed preview of the video for his new single “Motley Crew,” which officially drops on Friday (July 9). The clip opens with Posty behind the wheel of a custom black and yellow Rolls Royce racer, which is sprinting ahead of the other cars on the empty NASCAR track. Cut to the rapper with the arms of his jumpsuit tied around his waist wandering around the infield with a smoke and hanging with his giant crew of friends in pit row.

“I’m with the fast and furious/ We in the club, tearing it/ I got the commas, period/ Covered in ice, Siberia/ I’m at the top of the pyramid/ B—h I’m a star, I’m Sirius,” Post raps over the icy beat in the Cole Bennett-directed clip. “We gettin’ into playin’ serious/ Came with the gang, a myriad/ Came with the gang, a myriad/ Came with the motley crew.”

Bennett had a bit of fun in the comments on the clip, writing, “Wow ur so good at driving car,” while rapper Tyla Yaweh — who also appears in the visual — posted a pic from the shoot in which he’s hanging with Malone.

The new track is the first fresh music from Malone since releasing his Hollywood’s Bleeding album in 2019. In a short clip uploaded by his manager, Dre London, earlier this week Malone is showered with champagne on a winner’s podium after what looks like a stock car race, with the rapper decked out in that same yellow racing suit as women in black dresses dance around and various men shake up bottles of bubbly and spray it in the air amid plumes of fireworks.

The song’s title, seemingly inspired by the icon metal band Mötley Crüe, brought out Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, who posted a photo of himself on the set of the video on Sunday along with Malone and two unidentified women; Lee also makes a cameo at the end of the video preview, rushing up to the camera and shaking his open mouth in celebration.
