Pokémon Legends: Z‑A Leaks Early — Spoilers Already Online

Pokémon Legends: Z-A, developed by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company and Game Freak, leaked ahead of schedule, triggering widespread information leaks online. Early copies reached fans five days before the official launch, and spoilers quickly began circulating across the web.

An X user named CentroLeaks has been posting reports from those who received early copies. Screenshots appear to confirm Mega Feraligatr, Mega Scolipede, Mega Drampa, Mega Emboar, Mega Scrafty and Mega Chandelure. Similar to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a distinct sound plays when shiny Pokémon (alternate-color variants) appear, and they use separate icons. The source also states that the events of Z-A take place five years after Pokémon X & Y.

At September’s Nintendo Direct, Mega evolutions for Delphox, Greninja and Chesnaught—species that previously lacked Mega forms in Pokémon X & Y—were announced. According to the official website, the required Mega Stones (Greninjite, Delphoxite, Chesnaughtite) can only be obtained through online Ranked Battles in the Z-A Battle Club, which requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription and participation in competitive matches.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is scheduled to release on October 16, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
