PlayStation Promotes an Xbox Hit: Gears of War Arrives on PS5 Pro
Only a few years ago this would have been unthinkable. PlayStation is promoting a new Xbox release and even incentivizing players with a special offer.
What was once considered sacrosanct to the “green camp” is now accessible to Sony console owners. The objective is simple: reach as many players as possible, regardless of platform.
An official PlayStation channel trailer for Gears of War: Reloaded confirms PS5 Pro support. The game runs in enhanced 4K, features PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, supports up to 120 FPS in multiplayer, offers near-instant load times, and benefits from improved lighting effects.
PlayStation has also added a promotional deal — Gears of War: Reloaded is available on the PS Store at a 25% discount. A collaboration that would have seemed absurd a few years ago now serves as a marker of the times: the moment the “blue” officially promote the “green”.
