Players Report Optimization Issues in Beast of Reincarnation
The new game from the creators of Pokémon has drawn strong interest, but its initial reviews are mixed.
Beast of Reincarnation has received ratings around 72–73%, which is noticeably lower than expectations from fans who were looking forward to a robust action-RPG from Game Freak.

Following release, it became known that the project was built by a small internal team at the studio, with some work outsourced to external developers. Game Freak primarily handled the game’s direction and key creative decisions.
Reviewers praise the combat system, the post-apocalyptic Japanese setting, the relationship between main characters Emma and the wolf Ku, the art style, and select boss battles. At the same time, players point out a weak story, repetitive enemies, issues with world exploration, camera problems, and technical performance issues.

Particularly serious problems surfaced on Xbox. Journalist Jez Corden reported that the frame rate in the Microsoft console version can drop as low as 5 FPS in certain moments. The developers are already aware of the issue and are preparing an update.
