The new Call of Duty will unlock on November 14 at 2:00 AM Moscow time.
Thousands of players are switching their regions to New Zealand to get access to Black Ops 7 several hours ahead of the global release — it’s all down to time zones.
Players typically open their console settings (Xbox, PlayStation) or the Xbox app on PC, change the region to New Zealand, add a New Zealand address to their Activision account, and restart the device. They can revert their settings once the game is available worldwide.
Activision has largely turned a blind eye to these tactics, since they don’t breach the user agreement, so account bans appear unlikely.
The workaround functions on consoles and on PC via the Xbox app, but it won’t work on Steam or Battle.net, where releases are synchronized.
