Peter Molyneux Considers God‑Sim Masters of Albion His Last Chance to Restore His Reputation
As the 66-year-old developer remarked, he no longer has the energy for another project.
Veteran game designer Peter Molyneux, the creator of the Fable series with more than 40 years in the industry, hinted in an interview with Edge that the upcoming god-simulator Masters of Albion may be the final game of his career. Molyneux, now 66, says he lacks the strength to take on new projects.
I know people will say, “Come on, that’s not your last game.” But I’m 66. I’ve worked as hard as ever my whole life — I simply don’t have the energy left to go through it all again.
Molyneux says he has put “everything he has” on the line with Masters of Albion.
In Masters of Albion, players assume the role of a god who helps their settlement thrive by day and battles enemies by night using supernatural powers.
