Persona 4 Revival Remake Isn’t Just ‘Adding New Content’ — Atlus Hints at Release Date

A well-known JRPG is returning in a refreshed form.

Recently, Kazuhisa Wada, head of P-Studio (part of Atlus), gave an interview to 4Gamer. He was asked about the previously announced remake, Persona 4 Revival.

Wada commented:

“…Persona 4 already contains a wealth of material in Persona 4 The Golden, so when we approach the next ‘R’ we won’t simply add more content — we need to design gameplay that can be enjoyed even more.

And the remake includes an enormous amount of content, so, to be honest, it’s a difficult undertaking… I have a feeling it will turn out wonderfully.”

When asked about a release date for Persona 4 Revival, he said he couldn’t provide one and suggested keeping an eye on Persona 3 Reload for Switch, then added:

“By the way, next year, 2026, marks the 30th anniversary of the Persona series, and I hope fans will be able to enjoy it even more that year.”

Fans have interpreted this as a hint that the game might launch in 2026.
