Mike Colter Compares Returning to Luke Cage Role to Temporal Anomaly
Working with former Marvel colleagues reminded actor Mike Colter of filming Netflix shows.
Mike Colter shared his impressions of returning to the role of Luke Cage in Daredevil: Born Again. In an interview with CinemaBlend, the actor admitted that meeting his former colleagues after a several-year break gave him a strange feeling:
“It feels like you’re in some kind of temporal anomaly: you don’t even understand what year it is anymore. We started all this so long ago and now we think, ‘Wow, we’re still doing this.’ It’s interesting to be back with the same people again: for several years you didn’t work together, then you come back, and it feels like nothing has changed. It’s great that we can still play these characters, return to them, and add to their stories.”

Colter already appeared in the finale of the second season, and in the third season, Luke Cage will reunite with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). The final season of Daredevil: Born Again is expected on Disney+ in March 2027.
