Percy Jackson Season 3 Finally Receives Release Date at San Diego Comic-Con

The acclaimed Disney+ adaptation of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians is officially set to make its triumphant return on November 20. Stepping into its eagerly awaited third season, the series will bring the gripping narrative of The Titan’s Curse to life. During a major Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, the creative team and cast heavily emphasized that this upcoming chapter will delve into much darker, more intense territory than anything seen before.

This installment marks the very first time The Titan’s Curse has been adapted for live-action, as the 20th Century Fox feature films previously only tackled the first two books in the franchise. Attendees at the SDCC panel learned that the third season introduces a distinct tonal shift; while earlier episodes certainly featured moments of peril, the narrative stakes are now raised to an entirely unprecedented level.

Privileged fans in the auditorium were treated to an exclusive screening of the opening minutes of season three. The footage reportedly features Percy and Annabeth attempting to recruit the newly awakened Thalia Grace, portrayed by Tamara Smart. As Thalia searches for her estranged friend and series antagonist Luke, Percy grapples with lingering doubts regarding her loyalty. The overarching plot follows the young demigods as they embark on a perilous quest to rescue two powerful newcomers, ultimately thrusting them into the middle of an escalating war between the Olympians and the Titans, alongside the Hunters of Artemis and the titan Atlas.

Viewers will also be introduced to fresh faces Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who step into the roles of Nico and Bianca di Angelo, the formidable children of Hades. They will share the screen with returning fan favorites Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri. Showrunner Dan Shotz revealed that Annabeth’s character arc has been substantially expanded for the screen compared to the original source material. At the same time, creators assured the audience that this season remains remarkably faithful to the books.

The divine cast of Mount Olympus expands significantly this year, boasting an impressive lineup of stellar guest stars. Dafne Keen (Logan, His Dark Materials) joins as Artemis, alongside Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Hera, Jennifer Beals as Demeter, and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo—a particularly thrilling casting choice given the sun god’s massive future significance. Meanwhile, Mindhunter alumnus Holt McCallany will embody the terrifying primary antagonist, Atlas. Notably absent from the panel, however, was any official confirmation regarding a potential fourth season.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on November 20, 2026.
