Star Wars character Darth Maul, who noticeably “slimmed down” and said goodbye to a “piece of himself” after his battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi, will receive a 14.5-inch fine art bust from Premium Collectibles Studio in 2027.

Premium Collectibles Studio has introduced a fine art bust of Darth Maul, a collectible item depicting the iconic antagonist who first appeared in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Fans can already pre-order this new item for $1,440. Darth Maul is one of the most recognizable characters in pop culture. PCS set out to create this impressive bust, which not only recreates the unforgettable look of the dark Lord of the Sith, but also captures the story of how this remarkable character’s fate changed over the years.

The creators managed to capture his sinister facial expression and characteristic tattoo patterns. The realistic portrait is surrounded by dynamic scenes illustrating key moments in Darth Maul’s life, ranging from his first clash with Qui-Gon Jinn to a later battle with the young Jedi Ahsoka.

The fine art bust measures 14.5 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and 10.5 inches deep. The release of this collectible is expected between August and October 2027.

Darth Maul is a male Zabrak from Dathomir and an apprentice to Darth Sidious. This character is primarily interesting for his unique combat style and iconic double-bladed lightsaber. His survival after falling down the reactor shaft on Naboo demonstrates incredible mental strength and resilience, which allowed him not only to survive but also to build the powerful Shadow Collective crime syndicate.

Maul’s tragedy lies in the fact that he was merely a pawn in Palpatine’s grand plans, and Palpatine easily replaced him with other apprentices. Having lost everything, Maul turned into a lonely wanderer whose fate clearly illustrates the destructive nature of the dark side of the Force, which consumes its follower from within.
