Patti Smith is continuing to bring fans into her world with another special streaming session. Fans will be able to catch Patti Smith at the legendary recording facility Electric Lady Studios in New York on Sept. 9, with her performance streaming on Veeps.

Smith’s latest stream is part of a series launched in July by Electric Lady Studios partner/GM Lee Foster. The Live at Electric Lady EP series is a partnership with Spotify featuring high-quality live audio recordings from the studio distributed exclusively by the streaming platform.

Earlier this year, Smith released her Live At Electric Lady EP on Spotify. The 35-minute set includes renditions of “April Fool,” “Blame It on the Sun,” and more. The session will now be streamed on Veeps Thursday (Sept. 9) for a global audience.

“We are very proud to be part of this very special series at our favorite recording studio. It was a unique challenge and offered us an exciting and innovative platform,” Smith said in a statement.

Last December, Smith worked with Veeps to stream her annual birthday celebration, which moved online in 2020 due to the pandemic. In February, the artist also livestreamed the 50th anniversary of her and collaborator Lenny Kaye’s first live performance together.

Other artists participating in the Electric Lady sessions include Jon Batiste, Japanese Breakfast, Dominic Fike, Faye Webster, Bleachers, Remi Wolf, and Wild Belle’s Natalie Bergman.

Tickets for Smith’s Veeps session start at $10 and go on sale today.
