Pains of Being Pure at Heart’s Kip Berman Announces Solo EP, Shares New Song: Listen

Kip Berman, the frontman of the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, has introduced his debut solo EP. To be launched because the Natvral, Know Me More is due out October 5 through Kanine. Berman has shared the mission’s title monitor, which options Fear of Men’s Jess Weiss. Check it out under.

In a press release, Berman explains the selection behind his new moniker. “I wanted to pick up my guitar and sing songs in a natural way, without all the things about music that aren’t music,” he says. Produced by Andy Savours (My Bloody Valentine, TPOBPAH), the four-track EP was recorded at London’s Wolf Den Studios in single takes. The mission’s closing monitor is a canopy of Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne.”

Pains of Being Pure at Heart’s final file, The Echo of Pleasure, arrived final September. Read in regards to the band’s 2009 self titled album in Pitchfork’s listing, “The 30 Best Dream Pop Albums.”
