Overcooked 2 heads to the seaside immediately for some recent Surf ‘N’ Turf DLC

Messy co-op chefmatch Overcooked 2 has me within the temper for some barbecue, with a brand new little bit of DLC that includes smoothies, kebabs and helpfully pushing your fellow cooks into swimming pools to allow them to cool off. A bit oddly timed, provided that the nights are rising darker and colder, however that’s maybe why – even shut indoors and enjoying videogames, we are able to get a style of summer season. The Surf ‘N’ Turf DLC is out now, and there’s a juicy trailer being plated up slightly below.

The Surf ‘N’ Turf DLC appears to be like to be extra of the identical, and that’s no unhealthy factor. Twelve new story ranges with their very own unusual gimmicks, that includes a number of new recipes to recollect and a pair enjoyable concepts. There’s chef stations on pool floats and levels the place the tide rolls in – extra little items of chaos to maintain in line. One of the brand new instruments obtainable on the seaside is the water pistol, which you’ll be able to both use to wash dishes at vary, or simply use it to bother your mates. Still, one factor that needs to be arduous to mess up is the blender – add fruit, hit button, voila, smoothie!

Being a beach-themed add-on, barbecuing is a key a part of the motion. Barbecues prepare dinner sooner the warmer they’re, and you may get the flames licking hungrily at your kebabs with only a puff or two of the bellows. Of course, the warmer the barbecue the better it’s to cut back your deliciously juicy meat to charcoal. It’s widespread sense stuff, however that’s why Overcooked works – it’s ridiculous and cartoony, however throwing collectively a burger is intuitive and one thing even children can get in on.

Overcooked 2’s Surf ‘N’ Turf DLC is out now on Steam and Humble for £4.49/€4.99/$5.99.
