Oscars 2022: Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood Nominated for Best Original Score

Hans Zimmer, Nicholas Britell, Encanto’s Germaine Franco, and Alberto Iglesias are also up for the award at this year’s Academy Awards

The 2022 Oscar nominations for Best Original Score have been announced. Jonny Greenwood is up for The Power of the Dog and Hans Zimmer got a nod for Dune. They’ll face off against Nicholas Britell (Don’t Look Up), Germaine Franco (Encanto), and Alberto Iglesias (Parallel Mothers).

In 2021, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Jon Batiste took home the Best Original Score trophy for their work on the animated Pixar film Soul. The 94th Academy Awards ceremony will take place March 27 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
