Obsidian Entertainment Confirms The Outer Worlds 2 DLC Is Still in Development
Obsidian Entertainment continues to support its game.
Microsoft recently announced changes to the Xbox structure. It became known that Obsidian Entertainment will join Bethesda. Against this background, some players remembered The Outer Worlds 2 and grew concerned about the fate of the game’s downloadable content.
A user named SGTPICKLES77 drew the community’s attention to a response from a representative of The Outer Worlds 2 development team. According to them, the downloadable content has not been canceled, and work continues as normal:

The creators did not disclose any specific details about the upcoming expansion. It is known that the plans include the release of “two story expansions.”
The Outer Worlds 2 was released in October of last year and received “mostly positive” reviews, with a 73% rating after nearly 9,000 user reviews.
Obsidian Entertainment released the latest patch for the game in the summer of this year. At that time, the developers of The Outer Worlds 2 fixed various technical issues, introduced a full-fledged photo mode, the ability to change character appearance aboard the ship, and transmogrification.
