OBAKEIDORO 2 launches globally with an August-to-October event roadmap
OBAKEIDORO 2 is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The asymmetric tag game supports up to eight players in three-minute rounds, with one or two Monsters chasing teams of three or six Humans.
Players can join Quick Matches, create rooms, play with friends or enter solo matches. Local wireless play is supported, while split-screen allows up to four people to play on one system. The Switch 2 edition also includes GameShare.
The first downloadable content bundle launched alongside the game. It includes a ninja outfit for Ponkichi, the Substitute Lantern item and the Monster Gasha.
The first limited event, Ghouligan’s Pranks Underway, will run from August 13 to August 30. A Halloween event is planned for October, with smaller additions and adjustments scheduled between the major events.
The published roadmap covers updates from August through October 2026 and outlines the initial sequence of downloadable content and seasonal activities.
