Acclaimed Irish filmmaker Lenny Abrahamson, the visionary behind the Oscar-winning “Room” and the hit series “Normal People,” is reportedly developing a new feature-length project.
The upcoming film is set within Dublin’s Jewish community during the 1970s. The narrative centers on Davey, a 12-year-old boy played by newcomer Sean Meagher, as he navigates the poignant complexities of a coming-of-age journey.
The cast features a stellar lineup, including Tom Burke (“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”) and Eve Hewson (“Bad Sisters”). Production is scheduled to commence this March. Abrahamson’s diverse portfolio also includes the eccentric musical comedy “Frank” starring Michael Fassbender, the atmospheric Victorian horror “The Little Stranger,” and the television adaptation “Conversations with Friends.”
