Nintendo opens new Singapore subsidiary with $6.2 million in capital
The company also announced plans to open an office in Thailand.
Nintendo has announced the formation of Nintendo Singapore, a new subsidiary in the Republic of Singapore aimed at accelerating the expansion of its operations across Southeast Asia.
Nintendo Singapore will be led by Managing Director Takahiro Miura. The company’s registered capital is 8 million Singapore dollars (approximately US$6.2 million).
The establishment of this new unit marks a strategic move to bolster Nintendo’s foothold in the Asian market, and the company has reaffirmed its intention to establish a presence in Thailand.
