Nintendo Announces New June Direct Showcase

Nintendo has officially confirmed that a dedicated showcase for Splatoon Raiders is arriving this week. This upcoming Nintendo Direct will offer an in-depth exploration of the anticipated single-player survival adventure, which serves as a flagship exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Mark your calendars for June 30 at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT. According to Nintendo, the broadcast will span approximately 15 minutes and promises to reveal fresh gameplay mechanics, world-building details, and the series’ signature aquatic puns. Following the presentation, Nintendo will host an extended live demonstration of the game via a dedicated Nintendo Treehouse: Live event.

Unveiled last June shortly after the launch of the Switch 2, Splatoon Raiders shifts the franchise’s focus toward a single-player treasure-hunting expedition across the mysterious Spirhalite Islands. Players will face off against the formidable Salmonids—frequent antagonists from Splatoon 2 and 3—while stepping into the shoes of a specialized mechanic. Working under the guidance of the Deep Cut trio (Frye, Shiver, and Big Man), players must craft inventive gadgets and unique paint-based weaponry to survive the islands’ hazards.

Splatoon Raiders is set to hit store shelves exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23. The launch will be accompanied by a new set of amiibo figures featuring the Deep Cut members. Furthermore, Nintendo is rolling out a stylish new set of Joy-Con 2 controllers, sporting a vibrant blue and light yellow aesthetic.

As part of Nintendo’s updated pricing structure, Splatoon Raiders will be available for $49.99 digitally and $59.99 for the physical edition, with each individual amiibo retailing for $24.99.
