Sure, Nicki Minaj had the Barbz buzzing when she teased something coming on Friday (May 14) — but it was her hot pink Crocs that stole the show.
In the snap she shared, the rapper covers herself with two pink heart-shaped pillows while rocking the comfortable slide topped with bedazzled Jibbitz, including one of Chanel’s double-C logo. According to Page Six, the look caused a whopping 4,900% spike in sales of pink Crocs — and the retailer’s website also crashed.

Minaj is hardly the first to slip into some Crocs. Post Malone, Justin Bieber and Bad Bunny have all had successful launches in collaboration with the brand within the past year.
Most recently, Questlove showed off a gold pair on the 2021 Oscars red carpet. “I became a believer in quarantine last year when I decided im tired of suffering while stunting,” he wrote on Instagram of his newfound love for Crocs. “Comfort first at this stage in my life.”
