Whatever you do, don’t give Kevin Hart a llama. That is, unless you want your phone number displayed on billboards so that anyone and everyone can give you a call.
This is exactly what happened to Nick Cannon Thursday (July 22) after Hart commissioned a huge digital billboard above the Courtyard by Marriott in Los Angeles that pokes fun at Cannon for having four babies with three women in the past year. “For any advice on fatherhood ? Call my best friend Nick Cannon,” reads the billboard. And yes, Cannon’s actual cell number was included under the words “Hey guys! here is his cell #.”
Hart posted his feat to Instagram, revealing in his caption that he also placed billboards in Atlanta and New York — meaning people in three different time zones were treated to the public display of revenge. “Since my brother @nickcannon decided to buy me a lama for my B Day I decided to do something nice for him as well,” the comedian explained. “I’m sure his phone has been ringing nonstop GOTCHA BACK B—- #PRANKWARS.”
Based on Cannon’s recent Instagram Stories, it looks like the prank was a huge success. The “Masked Singer” host wrote that his phone “won’t stop ringing,” and shared a few videos of him answering nonstop FaceTimes from excited fans, telling one, “I gotta go ’cause my phone is blowin’ up!” Cannon also wrote over one Story: “I hate @kevinhart4real.”
All of this comes in retaliation of Cannon’s birthday gift to Hart this year: a llama. The comedian chronicled the llama’s visit on Instagram, saying, “@nickcannon has to be one of the biggest a–holes on the planet.”
Will Cannon strike back? Most definitely. The comedian-actor-rapper might have to change his number now, but not before capitalizing on his onslaught of new callers: When you dial the number from Hart’s billboard, you’re directed to an outgoing message. “Hey, guys, it’s Nick Cannon,” he says. “You like to be part of my next prank? Then Cashapp me 5 dollas or more to cannoncash2021. leave your instagram facebook or snapchat and i’ll make sure you get on the next prank.”
