New series from the creator of “Black Mirror” gets a title and first-look images
Netflix has unveiled the first look at Blackemere, a new series helmed by Charlie Brooker, the mastermind behind Black Mirror. The project is slated for an early 2027 premiere.
The narrative follows Detective Blackemere as he leaves the provincial town of Blickford for London to hunt down a ritualistic serial killer. The stellar ensemble cast features Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), and Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), among others.
Described as an absurdist dark comedy disguised as a gritty crime thriller, the series promises a unique tone. An official release date will be shared at a later time.
