New Jeremy Saulnier Horror Film to Be Released in Russia

Jeremy Saulnier’s latest feature, titled October, is slated for a theatrical release in Russia. The distribution rights were acquired by Capella Film, an announcement made during the St. Petersburg International Content Market.

Set in the days leading up to Halloween, the thriller follows Mike (Corey Michael Smith), an employee at a haunted house attraction. After waking up with no memory of the previous night’s events, he finds himself the primary suspect in a crime. Desperate to clear his name, he must piece together the fragments of his memory and uncover the truth behind what transpired.

Saulnier directed the project and penned the screenplay. Joining Smith in the ensemble cast are Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, and Imogen Poots. The film is produced by A24.

A specific release date for the Russian market has yet to be confirmed.
