New James Bond Could Be Introduced by End of 2026, Producer Says
The next actor to play James Bond could be announced by the end of 2026 as the creators carefully choose the successor to Daniel Craig.
Producer Amy Pascal discussed the timeline in an interview with Deadline. When asked if casting news should be expected in the coming months, she replied that the end of the year looks like a quite likely timeframe, although the team does not intend to rush the decision.
“I would say the end of the year is a good option. We are moving very, very methodically. Working with Barbara Broccoli at the studio, I realize that Daniel Craig is very difficult to surpass. And this has to be something genuinely different, thrilling, exciting, and unusual.”

Media outlets previously named Jacob Elordi (Euphoria), Callum Turner (Masters of the Air), and Harris Dickinson (Triangle of Sadness) as possible candidates, but none of these names have been officially confirmed. At the same time, little-known theater actor Tom Francis is the only actor whose auditions have been reported by authoritative publications.
