New gameplay from Blizzard’s cancelled Starcraft: Ghost emerges from a leaked construct

Starcraft: Ghost has resurfaced due to what seems to be a leaked improvement construct.

Starcraft: Ghost is a cancelled third-person stealth shooter Blizzard was engaged on with Nihilistic Software (and later Swingin’ Ape) between 2002-2006. The game would have been Blizzard’s first shooter, starring Nova.

Outside of the official materials launched round that point, Ghost had largely been forgotten about. Over the weekend, nevertheless, the game has seemingly reemerged due to a playable construct that leaked on-line.

Game preservationist Andrew Borman first noticed this leak, posting high-quality screenshots of the construct, which he later clarified originate from “various Xbox groups”.

Since then, numerous movies exhibiting direct-feed gameplay went up on YouTube, and have been subsequently taken down. Only one stays, Delso Bezerra‘s video under. This is one of the best, highest-quality look we’ve got at Ghost.

According to Kotaku, the footage is certainly captured from a improvement construct, which may be performed on modified Xbox consoles. The construct may be downloaded, if the place to look.

Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime referred to as the choice to cancel Ghost one of his biggest regrets.
