Remember, last March, we learned that the Visco games of the NeoGeo era were all going to come out through PixelHeart, a young French publisher and distributor who took over the rights from the Japanese company. Since May 2021, many titles are therefore available for purchase on their official website. To start with, there are Bang² Busters, Andro Dunos, Breakers Revenge, Ganryu and Captain Tomaday and Neo Drift Out which can therefore be bought in their Japanese version. An alternative with US cover for each game is also available on the site, but the release date was not yet clear. That’s good, PixelHeart has just announced that it is in September 2021 that all NeoGeo AES games can be purchased with their American cover. They are necessarily less stylized than the Japanese versions, but experience has shown us that on NeoGeo, it is the American editions that have gained more value. Will this also be the case for PixelHeart re-releases? The future will tell.
