A new NCT 127 album is coming your way.
The nine-person group announced Wednesday (July 7) during a Beyond LIVE meet-up that their next studio album will be released in September. No title has been announced yet. The new record will mark the band’s third full-length album and will follow their latest release, a single titled “Save” from early June.
Wednesday’s livestream was also in celebration of the group’s five-year anniversary. On this day in 2016, NCT 127 released their very first single “Firetruck.” The band celebrated the milestone with a virtual talk show, games and performances in addition to the album announcement.
Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Mark, Jungwoo and Haechan are the men behind NCT 127, whose name is inspired by the longitude number of Seoul, symbolizing the group’s home base. The nine NCT 127 guys form a subunit of larger group NCT (Neo Culture Technology) — meaning you can find more music from them on NCT’s full group projects.
As a subunit, NCT 127 has quite a few projects under its belt, with several mini albums in their discography as well as two studio albums. They’ve also garnered plenty of chart successes to go around in their five years together: Their second full album, NCT #127 Neo Zone, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 while landing No. 1 spots on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, Top Current Album Sales chart, World Albums chart and Tastemaker Albums chart.
