Naughty Dog Confirms Multiple New Projects in The Last of Us Franchise

Naughty Dog has officially confirmed several new projects set in the universe of The Last of Us that are currently in early development and will expand the canon beyond Part I and Part II.

Naughty Dog President Neil Druckmann announced the news at the conclusion of The Last of Us Day, stating that the studio is currently working on “several very exciting new projects at a very early stage.”

The statement has reignited discussions about The Last of Us Part III, although a third main installment has not been officially confirmed. It remains unknown whether all of the projects are games, as Naughty Dog only stated that they are new stories that will expand the series canon.
